It's pretty sad really....

Have you seen this show yet?!

I was laying around this morning and caught it on tv. I hadn't heard much about it so I wanted to see what it was all about. It's literally all of these girls that are competing to have the wedding of their dreams and all of the plastic surgery that they want/"need" as well! It's absurd! Their fiance won't get to see them until the winner gets all of her surgery done and the day before the wedding. I cannot imagine what will be going through the future husband's head!

These girls need to take a step back and need a hard slap of reality! Ladies...I know people say this over and over....but life is not all about looks. You need to make sure that your heart is good and then the rest will all just fall into place. Appearance really reigns huge in our world today but it just seems like people don't get it.

"The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." I Samuel 16:7

"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting: but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Proverbs 31:30

I totally agree...I mean their fiance's are obviously happy with the way they look or they wouldn't be with them in the first place! It will be like they're marrying a different person. I think you need to be happy with yourself before you can love completely so they need to postpone their weddings, do a little bit of reflection on themselves and then think about making a big commitment like that.

I am horrified by this show too! My favorite comment came from the blond that thought it was terrible that the girl sold her engagement ring: "I guess she doesn't value THINGS in life."

I cannot believe this show. Hopefully, no one will watch it and it will get cancelled, what a horrible message to send to women- that even though your fiance proposed to you- you aren't good enough and you should get plastic surgery before your wedding.

The real marriage takes place after the wedding day, you know? I completely agree with your post. :) xo

I love your commentary about this show. You nailed it! It's absurd, and really sad. Our culture really seems to celebrate this kind of lifestyle these days. In the scheme of things, inner beauty reigns supreme. Love the scriptures too! :)
