My New Obsession....

Gosh...I am going to get fat!!!!

I finally broke down and bought a jar of Nutella this weekend. I have heard SO many people talking about it and just have never tried it! I think the packaging really always threw me off....it looks like something you would find in an old grandma's house. That bothered me for some reason! I finally broke down and bought it and was very intrigued... I could not pinpoint if I liked it or not right away. The hazelnut and chocolate taste is very different. But, somehow, it's really not TOO terribly rich. My next dilemma was to figure out what in the world to eat the Nutella with!!! It seemed odd to me to spread it on bread...don't know why. I FINALLY thought to dip my strawberry slices in it. HOLY GUACAMOLE!!! Ya'll....amazing. I was LITERALLY licking my plate like an idiot! It was so good and completely opened my mind to this hazelnut/chocolate phenomenon! I don't knwo why...but it just completely clicked with the strawberries!

If you have not tried it yet...go get you some!!!

For all of those who have...what do you eat your Nutella with???
I need ideas! I am so lost!!!!!

XOXO,

Hils

Welcome to the club ;)

We usually eat it with bread :) But I've tried it with rice slices and it is good.

You can even try eating it with peanutbutter (on bread). Or with pancakes or well there are hundreds of possibilities :) Enjoy your new discovery ;)

YUM. Those jars never last long around here. Kind of the only way I can get my husband to eat fruit sadly. It's not bad spread on sugar cookies either ;)

Croissants! And then slice strawberries on top! I do that for desserts when we have dinner parties sometimes.

My mom has a jar of it.. I have yet to try it. But I know Giada from the foodnetwork uses it ALL the time. They may have some recipes on the site. =)

I gained 10lbs on the stuff in Italy! It European, that's why the packaging is different...strawberries are the best, but it transforms a plain piece of bread into a delish donut :)

Mmm...my hubby turned me on to Nutella. Sooo yummy! Try it on toast with peanut butter. Put the PB on first then the nutella. The heat from the toast sort of melts it...oh so yummy! Giada Di Lorentas from the Foodnetwork often uses Nutella in recipes. I'd check to see if you can find some good ones.

I'm allergic to chocolate... so not for me. But my mom is in love with this stuff. When I was in Germany, everyone there LOVED it, and my cousin, Matteo, lives in Italy and can't get enough of this stuff!!

I crack open a can of crescent rolls and smear some on the inside before rolling them.

Cook them and it's like heaven in my mouth :)
